Your account, your call
The short version: delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account, or email us and we'll do it for you. Deleting removes your login, your name, and your devices. What you wrote in your shared space stays with your partner, unattributed — because it's their history too.
That's it — there's no waiting period and no email round-trip. You're signed out immediately and the account is gone.
If your partner is still using HappyLuv, the messages, memories, plans, and dates you two saved remain in their shared space — but they stop carrying your name. A HappyLuv space belongs to a couple, not to one person, and silently erasing half of someone's history because their partner left would be its own kind of harm.
If you want that content gone as well, ask your partner to delete their account too, or email us and we'll talk it through with you.
Already uninstalled, or can't sign in? Email hello@happyluv.app from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. Sending from that address is how we know it's you — we'll never act on a deletion request for an address we can't verify.
We'll confirm once it's done, and in any case within 30 days of your request.
Deleting your HappyLuv account does not cancel your subscription — that's held by the App Store or Google Play, not by us. Cancel it in App Store → Subscriptions or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions before you delete, or you may keep being billed for a space you can no longer open.
Deleted content is removed from the live service straight away. Encrypted infrastructure backups roll off on their own schedule and are never used to bring an account back. Ordinary technical logs, which don't contain what you wrote, may persist briefly for security and reliability.
Anything at all: hello@happyluv.app. See also our Privacy Policy.
